Hilden, 5 July 2026 - GEPVOLT SE is significantly expanding its manufacturing capacity for stationary battery storage systems at its headquarters in Hilden. For series production, the company is taking on additional buildings with around 14,000 square metres of usable floor space at Max-Volmer-Strasse 16 to 20.
Starting from roughly 40 employees at the beginning of 2026, GEPVOLT plans to at least double its workforce by the end of the year. By expanding its own manufacturing capacities, the company strengthens its position as a German provider of stationary energy storage and relies on European value creation and technological independence.
The new production platform in Hilden is designed for industrial scalability and high quality standards. The battery storage systems are based on lithium iron phosphate technology, which is characterised by high cycle stability, safety and environmental compatibility.
In the further production process, the cells are processed into battery modules using modern laser technology, ensuring precise contacting and high manufacturing quality. This is complemented by an in-house cell contacting system that combines electrical performance, stability and condition monitoring.
