GEPVOLT sees European regulatory developments as a signal for secure energy infrastructure “Made in Germany”

Grid operators and municipal utilities are raising their requirements for cybersecurity, transparency and technological sovereignty

Hilden, Germany - According to GEPVOLT SE, the current regulatory and geopolitical developments in the European energy market clearly show that the requirements placed on critical energy infrastructure are changing fundamentally.

In particular, topics such as:

GEPVOLT is therefore deliberately positioning itself as a German infrastructure partner for secure battery storage solutions Made in Germany.

At its Hilden site, GEPVOLT develops, produces and integrates industrial battery storage systems for grid operators, municipal utilities and municipal energy infrastructure.

With the exception of the battery cells, GEPVOLT relies on a largely German or European-controlled system architecture. Development, system integration, energy management, control, security architecture, commissioning, service, maintenance and long-term operation are all delivered from a single source in Germany.

„Battery storage systems have long ceased to be simple energy containers. They are digitally networked components of critical energy infrastructure. Anyone integrating such systems into distribution grids, municipal utilities or municipal energy projects must know who controls the technology, who has access to the systems and who assumes responsibility during ongoing operation,“ explains GEPVOLT.

For grid operators, municipal utilities and energy suppliers such as E.ON, RWE or regional utility companies in particular, the origin and controllability of technical systems will become a strategic procurement criterion in future. Alongside price and performance, questions of cybersecurity, data sovereignty, long-term serviceability and regulatory certainty are increasingly moving to the centre of attention.
